Founder & Sitter

Michele was born in St Louis, Missouri. Her pet sitting career began at the age of seven caring for the neighbor’s dog Charlie. She was raised by her grandparents who have given her respect and a working knowledge of caring for the elderly. Michele’s career started in the dental arena with a certificate in Dental Assisting, followed by a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Michele’s true love has always been animals. She wanted to show horses on the circuit and needed to have a job leaving her free to practice her life passion. After a short dental career, she moved to Kansas City and started Critter Sitters of Kansas City Inc. After 13 years and 60 pet sitters, she sold the business to pursue a radio career for animal advocacy. Fur Talk was aired weekly for two years on Talk Radio 710, KCMO. Michele found homes for countless animals. She ran a cat rescue program out of her personal residence. REGAP, Retired Greyhounds As Pets, used the radio show to find homes for retired racing greyhounds. In 2001, Michele was awarded The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City Media Friend of the Year. Sponsors of the award included Animal Planet, Petco, and The Bayer Corporation. Michele moved to Colorado in 2002 with her horses and cats to enjoy the mountains and a healthier lifestyle. Her new business, Pet And People Sitters, comes to Denver, Colorado. She is proud to offer the best professional in-home pet and people care service in the Denver area for the last ten years. Michele’s representatives are handpicked, personally trained, and follow a philosophy of treating pets and people like treasure.

Sabrina is a native to Colorado and is currently a student at the University of Colorado – Denver in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She also has been playing guitar for ten years and is trained in multiple styles of music. Additionally, Sabrina enjoys writing music, attending concerts, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family.

Michele recruited Sabrina from her prior job in retail, where Michele was thoroughly impressed with Sabrina’s customer service skills and character. Sabrina no longer had to work in a job she had no passion for, and is grateful for the opportunity to give pet owners peace-of-mind while under her care. She has had an abundance of different pets growing up including cats, dogs, frogs, fish, birds, and a rabbit. Currently, she has a beautiful short-haired black cat named Zipper, who loves playing in cardboard boxes almost as much as he loves attention!

Hey All! My name is Megan Washkoviak, originally from small town Wisconsin, surrounded by all animals living across from my Grandparents farm. My love for animals came at a super young age with that dream of being a Vet until finding out the scary parts of that field. After getting a bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation I headed to California where I was lucky enough to live with my Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and their three dog babies. I was in the sunshine state for 7 years before getting an opportunity to come to Colorado within my career. I work for a Nonprofit focused on serving persons with developmental disabilities. I have a passion for helping others, animals included! I don’t currently own any pets due to living in a condo that doesn’t allow without a major down payment. That’s where the pet sitting comes in and truly helps with that major interest in owning a dog, husky is the goal!
